The current lineup is Claude Fable 5.1, Claude Opus 5, Claude Sonnet 5 and Claude Haiku 4.5; Anthropic suggests starting with Opus 5 for most workloads. The models are available through the Claude API, priced per token, and through cloud platforms including Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud.

OpenAI builds the GPT family of models and ChatGPT. In its API, GPT-6 Astra is the flagship model for complex reasoning and coding, and GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra and Luna trade intelligence against cost. It also offers GPT-Image-2.5 for image generation and editing, GPT-Transcribe for speech-to-text, and GPT-Live and GPT-Realtime models for voice. New integrations build on the Responses API; the older Assistants API was shut down on 26 August 2026.
